| Descripción: | Picture taken on the third of March 2007 at Mirador Can Canyamans, neasr Santa Fe Montseny, Barcelona, 1200 m. altitude, on shalty solicious rocks, vertical position, close the road in a shady place. Very common lichen on silicious rocks, normally above 1.000 m. altitude. Wide European distribution. In Catalonia it has been mentioned in humid places like Aiguestortes and Montseny. Saxicolous, silicious, crustose thallus, brown, craked, areolate,granulous, wrinkled surface, with clear margin, very thick. Apothecia very numnerous, lecanorine, big, up to 2 mms in diameter,thalline margin of the same colour than the thallus, although it can arrive to black colour. Disc shiny, from clear brown to black.
