| Descripción: | Picture taken during the summertime at Fontromeu, Oriental Pyrenees, France on Pinus uncinata bark, 1.600 m. altitude. Picture presented for comparing with previous species. Usnea hirta has already been described in this lichen virtual flora. Notice that there is no red tinge at all, no red spots showing a red coloured subcortex layer.
