| Descripción: | Picture taken on the 17th March 2007 at Vallgorguina, Barcelina, on Castanea sativa bark in a very humid forest. Common lichen loving temperate climates but resistent to cold, Mediterranean and Atlantic coast. In Catalonia it is frequent in the littoral range of mountains. Crustose lichen, corticolous, thallus white, apothecia immersed in the substrate, round, elongate and evenr adiate forms, with a very determining red color. The disc is covered by a red pruina.
