Descripción: | Picture taken on the 9th April 2007 at "Gorges du Segre", near Bains de Llo, Llo, Oriental Pyrenees, France, terricolous, on soil, among damp mosses and grass, East orientation, 1380 m. altitude. It is a non frequent lichen, even dificult to distinguish in the field from Peltygera hymenina. The lobes rims present "phyllidia". Very useful the keys of Drs. Isabel Martínez & Ana Rosa Burgaz in Clementeana nº 3, 1997, pp:29-32. "Clave de identificación del género Peltigera". Foliose lichen, big and large, similar to P. hymenina but the lobe margins are contorted and they present "phyllidia". Olive brown colour,not feltered surface, bright. Digitiform apothecia (finger like), red-brown, longer than broad, curled, saddle form, numerous.
