Common lichen, frequent in all Europe, uplands, subalpine and alpine stages. Common all across the Pyrenees on siliceous and calcareous rocks, even man-made substrata. Very frequent at the Cerdanya. Saxicolous, foliose lichen, rosette forming, thallus from orange to red, narrow and long lobes, not large, up to 4 cms. Lecanorine apothecia, numerous, concolour, 1,5 mm in diameter.
