Picture taken on the 9th April 2007 at Gorges du Segre, near Bains de Llo, Oriental Pyrenees, France, Catalonia, on marble, calcareous rock,West oriented, 80º, 1380 m. altitude.
Common lichen, frequent in all Europe, uplands, subalpine and alpine stages. Common all across the Pyrenees on siliceous and calcareous rocks, even man-made substrata. Very frequent at the Cerdanya.
Saxicolous, foliose lichen, rosette forming, thallus from orange to red, narrow and long lobes, not large, up to 4 cms. Lecanorine apothecia, numerous, concolour, 1,5 mm in diameter.
