Picture taken on the 8th April 2007 at Targasonne, Alta Cerdanya, France, on a granite boulder, vertical side, 90 º,siliceous rock, 1.650 m. altitude.
Ekreophilous (seepage, water tracks), ombrophilous (place with frequent rain), stegophilous (protected from direct rain) in certain cases. It covers large vertical rock surfaces. Very frequent in the Pyrenees.
Saxicolous, crustose thallus with almost foliose lobes, cracked-areolate, from green to pale yellow, lecanorine apotheciae, black disc.
Thallus K+ yellow and some minutes later brown.
From now on I will use the criteria of frequency and ecology defined by Roux et alter for the study of the Languedoc-Rousillon region.
