Picture taken on the 26th May 2007, at Km 14 Masella sky station road, Oriental Pyrenees, Low Cerdanya, Girona, Spain, Catalonia, on the ground level, on a small piece of calcareous rock, in an exposed area, sunny place, nutrient-enriched place, 1470 m altitude.
Both are very common lichens on calcareous rocks. Very frequent in Catalonia.
Acarospora cervina has crustose thallus, areolate, with very big apothecia, brown-red, bright. Always on calcareous rock.
