Picture taken on the third of June 2007 at Querigut, Ariège, Oriental Pyrenees, France, on a mossy rock, siliceous substratum, granite boulder, very shady place under Fagus sylvatica, 80 % inclination, 1.400 m. altitude, surrounded by green squamules of Agronimia tristicula.
Academicaly common, but in Catalonia only mentioned a few times at Montseny mountain. Acidophilous, non nitrophilous.
Foliose lichen, up to 10 cm, lobes up to 1 cm., white medulla and bluish grey to brownish soredia along the margins and on the lobes, lack of rhizinae.
