Ramalina breviuscula sterile facies with Dirina massiliensis fertile and sterile forms
Image Details
Descripción:
Picture taken on the 1st July 2007 at Aiguablava Parador, Girona, Catalonia, on siliceous rock, vertical, North oriented 15 m. altitude. Acompanied by Roccella phycopsis and Dirina massiliensis (= Dirina repanda).
For a long time the sterile facies was called Ramalina breviuscula and the fertile one Ramalina mediterranea.
I have to study more in depth if Ramalina breviuscula forms part of the ombrophilous association of Dirina massiliensis and Roccella phycopsis. The typical association was mentioned first by Dr. Clauzade in the Isles close to Marseille and by Dr. Xavier Llimona et alter in the Medes Isles.

In this paper you have to substitute Dirina repanda by the current accepted name Dirina massiliensis.
