Caloplaca arenaria Pers, the type is missing in Persoon´s herbarium but this taxon is mentioned here in the modern sense of Wirth.

Mentioned in the Central Pyrenees always upland by Vondrak and Etayo. According to Clauzade & Roux, Likenoj de Okcidenta Europo, it is a common species.
