Descripción: | Picture taken on the 19th January 2008, Near Sant Jaume ermitage, Sant Cristófol, Montserrat, Barcelona, on Morus sp. bark, with Physcia leptalea (P. seminnata), Lecanora horiza, Lecanora chlarotera and Physcia tenella It is a common lichen, frequently confused with Parmelia caperata. Parmelia sorediens has a more yellow colour than Parmelia caperata, the lobes are narrower than in P. Caperata , less than 7 mm, lobes are very adpressed to the support (in the case of P. Caperata, they are more free). P. soredians is normally smaller than P. caperata. Soredia are frequent and more pulverulent than in P. caperata. Cortex K- or K+ pale yellow but never red.
