Picture taken on the 3/02/2008, near Sant Joan ermitage, above Montserrat Abbey, Barcelona, Catalonia, on conglomerates ("pinyolenc") with calcareous cement, nitrophilous.
Adpressed thallus, white to bluish grey, becoming more or less sorediate at the centre (it helps to differentiate it from Aspicilia cheresina thicker and without soredia), rounded lobed tips. Apothecia present, brown discs, sometimes with orange pruina.
