| Descripción: | Picture taken on the 16th February 2008 studing the ornithocoprophilous communities at Guils-Fontanera,Girona, Catalonia, 1900 m. altitude, on basic siliceous rock. Protoparmelia badia is fertile in this case with large lecanorine apothecia, wide, almost 2 mm, disk in this case black (it can go from brown to black) thallus areolate, warted, colour almost chestnut-brown. Dermatocarpon intestiniforme has perithecia, bluish colour with black lobes margins, thallus covered by pruina, and lobes in certain parts with intestine form (intestiniformes).
