Descripción: | Picture taken at Targasonne, Northern Pyrenees, Alta Cerdanya, Catalogne Nord, France, on granite, siliceous rock, flat surface, exposed, 1.650 m. altitude. It is a common species at altitude, in nitrophilous places and ornithocoprophilous lichen communities. Crustose lichen, not calcicole, growing on siliceous rocks, Thallus K+ (yellow and red as blood later on), Medulla and cortex K+ red, small spores. Thallus areolate, relatively flat, warty in certain cases, white to grey, normally without ochreous tinge. Apothecia frequent, ronds with irregular thalline margin.
