Descripción: | Picture taken at Targasonne, Alta Cerdanya, Oriental Pyrenees, normaly on low rocks, exposed, siliceous rock (hard granite), in meadows and low boulders, upland, 1.650 m. altitude. Saxicolous, siliceous,not a lot ekreophilous,photophilous, thermophilous, heliophilous and nitrophilous. Common upland, more than 1.500 m. altitude in the Pyrenees. Foliose, fixed in one single point, thallus brown colour very dark, with a lot of isidia. Isidia granular very evident, this characters distinguishes this species from Umbilicaria polyphylla present in the same areas at the Cerdanya. Medulla K-, C+ red, KC+ red, P-.
