| Descripción: | Picture taken on the 26th may 2007, near KM 14 Masella road, Oriental Pyrenees, Baixa Cerdanya, Girona, Spain, Catalonia, on flat surface, among mosses on calcareous rock, 1.450 m. altitude. Lichen living on siliceous and calcareous rocks,poor soils, non nitrophilous, heliophilous, common in Catalonia, mainly in the Pyrenees range of mountains, Val d'Aran, Aiguestortes, Alinyà, etc. Fruticose thallus, bright brown, chestnut to dark brown, like with a layer of varnish, up to 4 cms high, branched, ending with short blunt ends. Pseudocyphellae present. Negative chemical spot reactions. Armand Tomás Vidal Nikon Coolpix 4.500 and an umbrella to protectmyself from the rain. Autoeye, PH and HTLM Editor. |
