Picture taken on the third of May 2008 near Sant Jaume Ermitage, Serra d'Almenara, on gypsicolous soils, alliance Gypsophilion in the middle of Gypsophila struthium (trincola) and Ononis tridentata (ruac), very sunny place, continental climate, Tarantula nests.
Psora saviezii is a tericolous lichen, gypsophilous, with pink white squamulous thallus, with pruina. Squamules are initially circular and soon become alongated, forming like rosettes .
Very radiated and elongated thallus, almost white could be mistaken at field with Buellia zoharyi.
